Game Night!: This weekend! https://www.facebook.com/events/317792721696252/
I admit, I'm a real sucker for the Lego branded games. I know they're kids games, and I know I'm not, I just find these games to be really satisfying and unbelievably fun, if frustrating at times.
Lego Indiana Jones came with my Xbox along with Kung Fu Panda so I was stoked that a new Lego game came into my collection, having played Star Wars as Batman Lego games on my PS2.
Like all Lego games, they're fairly involved, especially if you want to fully complete the game. You need to unlock all character, all perks, get every special tropy piece to build all the trophies, mail all the packages and play the game through at least twice, in order to get all these things done. At times I find that the next step in completing the game is very very hard to discern and some points are outright frustrating, you'll want to have a guide open on your PC or laptop if you get stuck trying to figure it out...I know I did. But in all I like the game. You can spend hours lost in the world playing the many many Indy Characters available, collecting all those little studs in hopes of buying some new upgrade, or trying to build that trophy.
Achivements are wide ranging and cover alot of game play variations, although some will be time consuming to gain (such as the 250 rope swings or the 100% completion), but you'll have fun doing them.
Controls are easy to handle, but occasionally cause issue, such as times when indy swings his whip and swings it in an area you don't want, or when you need to flip a switch and drop an item your carrying right in front of the switch...you'll find it hard trying to pick one up over the other.
All in all, lots of fun in a small package. I'd class this one as a buyer, because its fun for not only you, but if you have kids, they can play too! (2 player capability), making this game a true family fun game.
